Build a deliverables list

List where the content will appear and the formats each channel needs. A main film, vertical edits, still images and website banners have different framing requirements. Treat these as production decisions rather than problems to solve only at the editing stage.

Write a useful shot list

Connect each shot to a story point or deliverable. Include details, wider context and the moments that explain the brand. Discuss the list with the production team so timing, location and practical constraints are understood before the day begins.

Allow room for adaptation

Leave space in the composition for copy where needed. Plan variations that can work across layouts. Keep brand assets, approved wording and reference materials together so the team can make consistent choices during production.

Agree the review process

Name the approver and collect feedback in one place. Check the work against the original deliverables, not a changing set of expectations. A clear handover includes the agreed files and a simple understanding of how the content will be used.
